MBOX 2 ASIO USB DRIVER

Until recently, the very cheapest way to get hold of a Pro Tools system was to buy a copy of the M-Powered version of the software and a compatible M-Audio interface. I installed Ploytec back in again and it was back to square one – no sound from the inputs. The fix for me in Wavelab is simply don’t use the Avid driver. So lack of resources can not be. You should be good to go. I appreciate in advance any help. Asio only works correctly in Protools 8 LE.

Find all posts by bbaker I have an old MBox 2 to work with, and have usbb studying how to get it working in Reaper. After the complete installation I have the same problems in Wavelab and Cubase.

Compact and tough box. I’m more than a lil miffed as to what the problem might be, did more digging, but can’t seem to find a parallel case in the forums. This gives you basic hardware monitoring when overdubbing. I did try checking out Avid’s support page earlier on, and have identified the following driver packs to try out: This new device sits below the standard and Pro versions in the Mbox 2 range, and, like them, ships with a copy of Pro Tools LE.

Asio only works correctly in Protools 8 LE. I created a track, armed it to record, let it rip and As they say, your milage may vary but this is what worked for me. The LE and M-Powered brands might benefit from some consolidation.

My 1st thought was that the unit has gone kaput its pretty oldbut I’ve tried running it awio ProTools LE 7 on my old bit machine and it works perfectly – LEDs are bright, input sound is registered, the monitor speakers are picking up the sound and it records as per norm. Furthermore, the lack of support for high sampling rates may deter hardened Pro Tools users from mvox what would otherwise be a compact solution to run on a laptop.

Image 2 of 3 The Mbox Mini is a ‘pro tool’ and no mistake.

I’ll run through the process, as a personal reference as well mgox for the benefit of others who may be stuck: Once or twice, MBox did revert back to the noisy playback probably poutingbut changing the sample rate It has a 3rd generation Intel I7 QM. The MBox doesn’t seem to pickup any sound input at all, it just stays dead silent. Thinking that perhaps could be an incompatibility with this PC I have taken the Mbox 2 to my laptop. Hi there, thanks for the reply mate.

Most users seem to have things up and running soon as the USB Audio mbix is installed. I have had it working on XP but cant remember if I have had it working with win 7.

I also had a similar problem in Sound Forge Pro 10 using the prior Avid driver released in I believe.

There are also two input level control knobs.
